Hotels and Lodges

In this itinerary we have chosen to use the following hotels & lodges;

African Tulip

This is an elegant and charming Luxury Boutique Hotel located along Serengeti Road right in the heart of Arusha. The hotel has been designed with safari travelers, business persons, families, honeymooners, elite and leisure travelers in mind. It has amenities of convenience whilst offering a high standard of luxury.
The hotel has 29 guest rooms, 7 of which are suites. The rooms are individually and stylishly decorated using warm African tones. A lot of African material and local art has been used reflecting the common thread that runs throughout the hotel which is one of consistence and quality.

Lake Manyara Serena Lodge

Standing high on the edge of a towering terracotta escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of safari opportunities, peace and tranquillity, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness.
The unique Lake Manyara accommodation in our lodge includes a choice of circular, double-storey, white-washed ‘rondavels’ (traditional circular buildings with conical thatched roofs), which are strung out along the edge of the cliff so as to allow for maximum views.Each spacious circular room has its own small veranda while the interior décor reflects the blue of the lake and the pink of its flamingos. Behind each bed hangs a spectacular hand-woven rug, while the furnishings and fittings reflect traditional Maasai beadwork.

Serengeti Tortillis Camp

Named after the distinctive Tortilis tree of the Serengeti, our tented camp combines comfort with the sense of wilderness, the sense of freedom, the sense of being ‘right there’, as you relax after the excitement of the day. We make your safari-camp experience truly unforgettable.
Set in the heart of nature, our camp is designed to look after you while you tune in to the very heartbeat of Africa : the sounds, the scents, the sights of Serengeti’s ‘endless plains’ could not be closer. Dine, sleep, relax and know that the best of Africa’s natural wonders is knocking gently on your door.

Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge

Located on a gentle slope, Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge offers stunning views over the seasonal soda lake and up to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Sixteen tastefully furnished spacious rooms are located within the large property, each with a private verandah overlooking the lake. The décor blends elements from the surrounding landscape with modern comfort.
The main Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge building features reception, lounge, bar, inside and outside dining, and a gift shop as well as an open air upper deck area. Our swimming pool offers a welcome and refreshing respite after a long and dusty safari. The lodge serves delicious and fresh continental cuisine and the friendly staff is delighted to see to our guest’s every need.
The region of Lake Eyasi, south-west of Ngorongoro, is home to the Hadza bushmen, the last survivors of a civilization that knows nothing of agriculture, livestock, pottery or metals. They live by hunting with bows and arrows and gathering wild berries and fruits. They are the last heirs of the ancestors who took their first steps right here, along the Rift Valley, about two hundred thousand years ago.
Their way of life has remained unchanged over the millennia and they live in small wandering groups of about twenty individuals. The Hadza people of Lake Eyasi are the heirs of the very first human beings, the kids of Olduvai Gorge and Koobi Fora who still have a symbiotic relationship with the environment, the purest example of anarchic society with no rules, no chief, no dont’s.
